they say we are an impossibility
they sum us up in little numbers on big screens
and write stories about us so we don’t feel left out.
but we see through their blatant attempts to disregard us
their attempts to hide our continued existence
and their pathetic attempts to make us ignore their hatred.
we hear their harsh whispers
we see their spiteful glances
we feel their ‘accidental’ knocks
and then when we complain about this
they say ‘you hate us all’
and quite frankly, yes, we do.
because we’re sick of people hating us
especially when we haven’t done anything wrong.
