whether that’s because you’re hiding them or because they aren’t looking, nobody knows.
they don’t hear your crying,
and meet your misery with harsh words and criticism.
they don’t believe you when you say there’s something wrong,
or when you say there’s nothing wrong.
if it was up to them they’d never believe anything you say.
they don’t see the signs
and then they wonder why you did it
and say ‘she never told us anything was wrong’.
well maybe it was because you weren’t looking
and because i’m fed up with having to tell you before you notice.
